| ATTENTION!
(Please review ALL the information
provided)
ICOM has successfully transferred all data and users to the new servers. Individual user directories with HTML and image files are still active, however there are a few changes that users should be aware of until the new script is added to display the list as it had previously appeared on the old server in 1999. FYI Updated 01.07.00 New FTP information. FTP users can access their directories at the new address: www2.icomnet.com After you enter your login and password,
you will need to create or access your public_html directory
immediately after you connect.

FYI Updated 01.03.00 1. Every ICOM member has a directory in which they can store data or personal home page information. Users must make the directory active by adding a PUBLIC_HTML directory and upload an appropriate index.html file before images or other files can be used for personal home pages. Information regarding this procedure is available at the support page. 2. Directories without index.html or index.htm files may not be accessible in root form. 3. Users who have current home pages active on ICOM servers must make a minor adjustment so that the pages will be available to the general Internet population for viewing. 4. Members must provide the new address
in it's new form until the script that will list them automatically is
finished and added in place of this page.
The new address format for all member
home pages is:
**Ex. If your user name or login is "info" then the address would be http://www2.icomnet.com/~info/ Please note that the previous addresses
did not include the numeric symbol 2 after
the www. The 2 will have to be included from now on
to allow others to view your web page. Some search engines (i.e.
yahoo, excite, etc.) may require re-registration to update your links.
Updated browsers do not need the http:// to be included in the address fields. You can simply enter www2.icomnet.com/~info/ and the browser will add the http:// for you. But, to be on the safe side, always include the http:// in the path when encoding the HTML for your webpages. If you have any questions or comments regarding
these changes, please e-mail the info desk. Please include login
and full name when requesting information regarding the server changes.
